Class Description
Fun, vibrant, and gorgeous! The layer cakes appear to float on the background. Using 42 10” squares (layer cakes), you will put this quilt together lickety split! Background color choices will make the quilt your own. This pattern is designed by Angela Walters and is available for free on the website listed.

Supplies/Fabric Requirements
1 layer cake (10” squares) with at least 42 squares (with 2 of each color), OR 21 groups of 2 matching 10" squares, for a total of 42 squares.
Background fabric 2.75 yards of contrasting or solid
Binding: 2/3 yard
Sewing machine in good working order
Basic sewing supplies
Good quality thread for piecing
Rotary cutting supplies – mat and sharp rotary cutter
Acrylic rulers: 6” x 24” is great for cutting into strips. I also love my squares to square up blocks: 4.5”, 9.5”, 12.5” squares

Please pre-cut the background fabric:
Cutting:
From white background fabric, cut: 21 squares 10" x 10"
15 strips 2½" x width of fabric.
Subcut into:
■ 84 strips 2½" x 4½"
■ 84 strips 2½" x 8½"

We will cut the layer cakes in class as part of the design process
