19: 19. Williwaw - Krisanne Watkins - Thursday

Class Description
Williwaw—a sudden, violent squall blowing offshore from a mountainous coast. Inspired by the fabric, which reminded me of a midnight thunderstorm, Williwaw is a 34-inch wall hanging that really packs a visual punch. Techniques include stitch and flip corners, flying geese, half square triangles and square in a square. Finished size is 34" X 34"

Instructor Name:
Krisanne Watkins
Instructor Bio:
My first exposure to quilt making was at my grandmother's knee, literally, as she peddled on her 1903 Singer. It was fascinating to see how fast that treadle could go. Along with sparking my early interest in the sewing machine, she also let me play with her scrap bag, sometimes even letting me keep some of the wonderful scraps found inside. I started my first quilt as a teenager and have never lost interest or been bored by the process.
