Homework: It was really helpful for me to create a binder with the pattern in sheet protectors and as I chose my fabrics, I would cut a small piece and tape it to the section I was going to use it in.  I chose mostly small print fabrics and a few large prints for most of my flowers. Following the guide cut the background pieces, only the strips needed for the petals, leaves and the squares needed for centers, both in fabric and interfacing. Do not use the rulers to cut out pieces, we will be learning the different rulers and a different technique in class. Do not iron shape flex onto fabrics. This is for Blocks G, L, P and M. You may cut out other blocks, but we may not get to those in class.

Meredith Harris
Instructor Bio:
I can't even remember when I actually started sewing. As I watched my mother sew everything from clothing to crafts and as I grew up under a quilt being tied by my mother and grandmother, I never questioned that I could do the same. I received my first sewing machine 38 years ago and I haven't stopped sewing for my own kids, grandkids, and many others, including a professional porcelain doll maker. I continued to explore with crafting and quilting and found that it is something I have always loved. I moved to St. George where I started working with Dave's Bernina and for the past 7 years, I have found how much I really love quilting, appliqueing, embroidering, crafting, and teaching what I love to do. I currently continue to be a part of the Dave's Bernina family and doing what I love most.
