Class Description
No quilt block is more American than the humble Log Cabin. In this version, the blocks are arranged with the strong dark-and-light diagonal shading in a straight furrows set which seemed appropriate for all the farmers and farmhands who fought side by side on our nation's farmlands. You will enjoy making two different blocks for this traditional quilt.

Supplies/Fabric Requirements
1/8 yard each of 18 light prints for blocks
1/8 yard each of 18 medium-light prints for blocks
1/8 yard each of 18 medium-dark prints for blocks
1/8 yard each of 28 dark prints for blocks
1/8 yard of red fabric for block centers (I used one 2 1/2" x 42" Strip of Fabric)
1/2 yard black fabric for binding
3 1/3 yards backing fabric (pieced horizontally)
