Class Description
You will love this Scrappy Scarecrow. (I named him Sammy). I love every fall when I get him out and hang him up. He just makes me smile! So, gather up some of your scraps, and come learn an easy way to sew them together to make Sammy, and these cute pumpkins. Sammy is made from wool, but you can make him out of whatever you want, then dress him up with a black crow, buttons, pockets, and embellishments. Maybe a moon. So come and join me for a fun scrappy class!

3/4 yard black- background and binding
1/4 yard orange- outside strip
9" x 11" - wool plaid- body
7" x 8" hat- wool or cotton
16 different sm. scraps- Gold-lights/darks-plaids, checks, flowered fabric whatever you have.
16 different sm. scraps-orange-lights/darks-plaids, checks, flowered fabric whatever you have.
5 brown scraps- stems
2 1/2" x 5" - brown for wood pole
8" x 8" - leaves- wool/wool felt
4" x 6" - yellow- straw arms
embroidery floss - vines
embellishments- button, etc.

My name is Wendy Liddle and I have been involved in quilting for about 20 years. I have served on the Utah Valley Quilt Guild for a number of years and have met so many wonderful quilters. I love to take classes and teach classes. I love to design patterns and get creative. I love working with wool and love to make small projects so I can finish them. I love seeing old friends at the retreats and meeting new friends. Quilting friends are the best. I like to say these are my QFF's. Quilt Friends forever!
