48: 48. Basic Beginning Quilting - Paula Jordan - Saturday



Class Description
So, you want to learn how to sew (or piece quilts)? Then this is the class for you. We will learn the basics of cutting; fabric selection, needles, patterns, and some of the terms. We will make a simple bag to have some hands-on experience. The project will be kitted. We will be providing machines.

Pattern/Kit Fee 
Kit is required: $32

Supplies/Fabric Requirements

Scissors

Thread to Match (Metrosene or Aurifil)

Pencil

Seam Ripper

Rotary Cutter and mat

7" x 24" acrylic ruler

Travel iron and ironing pad

We will provide Bernina machines, foot, needle, bobbin

Further instructions regarding class preparation will be emailed by your instructor after registration.

I thoroughly enjoy sewing. I have been sewing for over 50 years. I made my own clothes while in high school. When I got married, I switched to quilts and crafts. My husband is retired, but I still enjoy teaching at Dave's Bernina, retreats and events. I have been working for Dave's for 24 yrs. I also enjoy camping, reading, and spending time with my grandkids.
