Class Description: Everybody loves a cute and functional crossbody bag, and what makes it better is you can create it completely in the embroidery hoop!!  Make it for yourself or as a quick gift. You will learn how to use your embroidery machine to quilt, apply zippers and how to fully line a bag.

***No need to bring an embroidery machine. Dave's Bernina will be providing embroidery machines, feet, bobbin fill, straight stitch plate, hoop and needles.

Project size: Approximately 8.75" tall and 4.75" wide

When: Wednesday, June 10 — 2:00 to 5:00 pm

Skill level: Beginner

Pattern/Kit Fee: Pattern purchased online at designer’s Etsy store: LisaCapenQuilts.

Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Receive 20% off towards supplies at Dave's Bernina

Pattern printed out with templates necessary for cutting

Main body fabric, accent fabric, lining fabric, strapping, and fabric for strap

2 Swivel snap hooks

1 slide buckle

2 D-Rings-1 inch wide or smaller

Embroidery tape,

Clips

Thin low loft batting such as Quilters Dream Cotton or Bamboo....nothing thick

Poly Mesh Stablizer

3 plastic zippers at least 11 inches long

Isacord embroidery thread to go with your fabric choices

Sharp medium to small scissors

Travel cutting station

I am a retired Naval Wife who lives in St. George, Utah. I am a late arriver to the quilting hobby, but have been learning everyday for the last 15 years. I have had the opportunity and pleasure of teaching at Quilt Walk for several years which has blessed me with many new friends.
