Class Description: Let's make a Poppins bag! This is any easy pattern but does take some time. Hand stitching is required for attaching the base of the bag.
Poppins 18" Wide x 12" Deep x 14" Tall
When: Friday, June 7 - 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Skill level: Intermediate
Pattern/Kit Fee: The patterns come with one set of stays needed for the bag. Poppins bag w/stays $29.00
Supplies/Fabric Requirements:
Outside fabric 1 yard
Inside Bag body and pockets 1 yard
Binding, Sashing, zipper bows and tabs 1/2 yard
Interfacing for bag body: Bosal's IN-R-FORM PLUS (58" wide) 1 yard
Interfacing for bag bottom: Stiff double sided fusible interfacing (20" Wide) CRAFT-TEX PLUS OR Pellon's 72F 3/4 yard
Matching thread, walking foot and basic sewing supplies
This bag will not be finished in class, but all instruction will be given so that the student will feel confident in completing the bag.
Further instructions regarding class preparation will be emailed by your instructor after registration.
Instructor bio:
I learned to sew from my mother 40+ years ago, she was an excellent seamstress and made a lot of our clothing. She taught me to be precise and accurate. When I found quilting 10+ years ago these skills put me ahead of the game. I love creating, for my family, friends, and teaching others the things I love.
